I'm abroad but I don't have service on my mobile. What do I do?

Usually the phone will automatically find an international carrier to connect to, but sometimes you need to manually search to get service on your phone.

To search network manually you can easily do it by the following:

iOS
Settings – Carrier – Turn off Auto (should be white) – Wait until the phone has finished searching and a list with available carriers will appear. Choose one and change to another if you still don't have service.

Android
Settings -> More networks/Mer -> Mobile network -> Network carrier
Choose a carrier from the list and change to another if you still don't have service.

What does it cost to use your mobile abroad?

It may be good to know what costs that apply for the specific country you're in. Our international prices for calls, sms and internet can be found here.

What do I need to think about while abroad with my mobile?

Before you go abroad you need to check that your subscription doesn't have any blocks for data or calls if you want to be able to fully use your services. You can get this information directly from us, just e-mail or call our support.

Note that traffic control on your subscription doesn't work abroad.

I have a new SIM card but I don't have service. What can I do?

If you have a new SIM card and don't have service then it needs to be activated. Our support will help you out and you can reach them by e-mail or phone. Remember to have your SIM card number available for your new card. This number can be found on the backside of the SIM card or under the bar-code on the paper the card was attached to.

- iPhone: Settings > Mobile network > Mobile data network > At APN settings

- Sony och Samsung: Settings > Wireless remote units > Mobile network > Access point name > Menu button > Choose current APN/Create new

- HTC: Settings > Mobile network > Access point name > APN > Choose current APN/Create new > Edit access point

- Windows Phone: Settings > Network configuration > Choose current APN/Create new

APN settings Dstny

These settings should automatically be set with your new SIM-card from Dstny, however, sometimes you may have to set these manually if you can't surf or send/receive MMS. First try to choose "Reset standard settings". (Android) or reset settings (iOS), before you edit or create new APN settings accordingly. If it still doesn't work the correct settings are:

- iPhone: Settings > Mobile network > Mobilt data network > At the APN settings

- Sony och Samsung: Settings > Wireliess control units > Mobile network > Access point name > Meny button > Choose current APN/Create new

- HTC: Settings > Mobile network > Access point name > APN > Choose current APN/Create new > Edit access point

- Windows Phone: Settings > Network configuration > Choose the plus sign (+)

How do I refill my surf?

You refill your surf via text: If 80% of surf for the month has been reached you will get a text with the text; "You have consumed 80% of your surf. When you have consumed 100% of your surf for this month you can still surf, but with lower speed". If 100% is consumed you will get a text with the following text; "You have used 100% of your surf for this month, buy extra surf by replying to this SMS with the text; 1GB (50kr), 3GB (125kr), 5GB (195kr) or 10GB (295kr).

Answer the text with amount of choice, for example; "1 GB" and you will get the following when surf is upgraded; "Thank you, we have increased the amount of data for this month with 1 GB, available in 10 minutes".

If you are the administrator you can refill surf for your coworkers instead. If you are the company administrator we will help you with an account to My Site and there you can refill surf for whomever you wish in the company that has Dstny as carrier.

+ 1 GB surf = 50 kr
+ 3 GB surf = 125 kr
+ 5 GB surf = 195 kr
+ 10 GB surf = 295 kr

How does surf work abroad?

If you're on a business trip connecting to WiFi isn't enough because you need to be available all the time. The cost for surf is charged per MB and add more your bill depending on what country you're in. Dstny recommends that if you know that you need constant access to surf even when outside of a WiFi network, to activate our service that gives you a fixed day price for surf.
